There is nothing like finding a pair of electrified laser hand axes and flame two hand Uzi’s at level one. The best part of the game is the chip wars, the control of the core. A person is elected every six hours to be the leader of the race. This person sets into motion the ongoing war for the core. That player and two others gain control of special armor and skills and basically is the war leader for that period. There are plenty of players online at ALL TIMES so there will always be a chip war or battle event going on always.

Codemasters Online Gaming are today pleased to announce that Rising Force Online, an MMOG with an epic mix of traditional fantasy and futuristic sci-fi action has been in operation for 12 months.

Launched throughout North America and Europe on 21st and 24th February, 2006 respectively, RF Online has gone from strength to strength witnessing major updates and expansions along the way such as the awesome ‘Giga Final Part 1’, with its breathtaking battle dungeons and other associated high level content, as well as the much anticipated ‘Giga Final Part 2’ which introduced the impressive Guild vs Guild battles and the Elan Plateau, an awesome new area for all players to explore.

There is a host of new content on the horizon for RF Online and its players, with Episode 2 Part 1 on its way and scheduled content lined up all the way through to 2008.

The game has a very unique and very cool PvP ranking system, which ultimately calculates who the race leaders and archons for each race are. The race leader is feared by his enemy and respected by his fellow race. They are the ones who lead their race into battle every day and raise morale to ensure success. Getting race leader isn't an easy feat and requires a tremendous amount of dedication and hard work. By killing enemies in PvP, players gain something called Contribution Points. These Contribution Points are what determine how highly you are ranked within your race and subsequently how much influence you have over other players.

The race leader gains a few special traits as well. One of which is a huge aluminous light on the top of their head - which can be both a blessing and a curse. They also have the ability to chat to the whole of their race - meaning they can efficiently lead the race into battle. As you can see, the race leader is a very powerful and sought after position within the game.

As some of you already know, Codemasters Online Gaming announced the merging all of the current RF Online servers (Spirit, Fire, Earth, Water and Wind) into one RF Online super server! This new world known as Novus, will be born on January 24, 2007 and will go down in RF Online history as the day the worlds collided.

The servers will be going offline at 9am NST (GMT) for 12 hours to enable the live merge to take place, with a scheduled launch of Server Novus at 9pm NST (GMT)

This server merge will enable players to play the game as it should be played, with mass PvP and the most action-packed Chip Wars ever seen!

Depending on the company, some community managers are a lot more active on the forums than others. This could be for a host of different reasons: more staff or different priorities, to name a couple; but I personally like to keep a persistent presence on the forums. Community members like to know that someone is there reading their feedback, comments, praises or complaints. That’s not to say it’s always necessarily a pleasant experience…being a community member and browsing forums in your spare time is completely different to working on them for a living. As you’re representing a company you have to find a balance between ensuring your responses are accurate and informative as well as including your own personal touch. No one likes a ‘corporate-speak’, blabbering community manager after all.

Over the Christmas period, the RF Online team will be holding a series of Christmas events (Santa Chooty has been Chooty-napped!), which will lead up to the biggest, most brutal battle to grace the planet Novus. The Calliana Princess will be invading Sette with her army of Ether creatures on three separate occasions – can the three races unite and hold back the Princess and her army? Or will this be the end of Novus as we know it?

With Episode 2 on the horizon, the RF Online team have been working on bringing the community the latest updates from our fellow RF Online players in Korea. Recently – the latest addition to this update was posted on the RF Online official forums and included some new juicy information on the new level 50 content that will be appearing in the game.

Included in this update were the new level 50 Battle Dungeons, Guard Towers, Traps and race specific features.
